task 3

                                   My goals for  task 3

I am going to improve my confidence in talking to a native speakers during this task  . I am going to do that by talking and asking  some questions to the native speakers before going to them. I'm  checking my questions with my teacher to correct my questions if she see any mistakes. I am also going to talk to my student  who are native speakers to have  more confidences before I start my interview.

I'm going to improve my ability to work with other students during this task. I'm going to that by meeting and talking to my classmates and native speakers I will keep practicing at the class and out every day till I improve my speaking and listening   so, I will work with my classmates in the class And I will follow my teachers structure to improve my speaking and listening



For this task 3, I had to research a religion different from my own, so I had chosen Christianity.First-off- all  I searched on internet and found heaps of information about Christianity such as fundamental beliefs and basic books that they follow.

I went a Church near my house last week then I met an old man over there who I asked him some questions about Christianity and he gave me a brief explanation about it. however I couldn't be able to take a video, so I took some photos in front of the Church.

I met this man at unitec chaplaincy and I asked him some questions about Christianity and he tried to answer most of my questions. As you can see in this interview I was much more confident than my previous one

 My reflection for this task

for task 3, I had to research a religion different from my own one, so I have chosen a Christianity because I want to learn how to search something new for me. So far I haven't been able to organised to interview one of the  priest of the Church that I visited. However I was able to take some photos. then I managed to meet with one of the priest of the church and I interviewed her.I also interviewed one of my classmate who has a Christian faith. My two goals were to improve my confidence in talking to native speaker and  to improve my ability to work with other students during this task.


Before I stared my research. I felt a bit nervous because I was afraid to interview someone or even to visit a Church and meet with the priest as my first time of my life. At the moment I am feeling happy about task 3, because I have managed every thing required to complete this task. This task has been useful for me because I improve my two goals. During my interview I was more confident as I expect and I am very happy with that I also overcame my shyness and feel more confident.

The best thing about doing this task was to improve my ability to research something different, for example a different religion or everything else. For me the most hardest thing about doing this task was visiting a strange place and interview a native speaker  and I had difficulties about finding someone to interview. I feel happy with my progress towards my goals. I really achieved most of my English goals for this task because was a bit confident in my interview achieve them about 90% . I made very much progress with my English goal  and I am happy with the progress I made with my second goal as well.


the part that was most difficult for me was interview with someone who is a native speaker. I felt a bit frustrated doing that. However I was much confident than what I expect during my interview because I listened my video again and I was pleased with my progress that I have made during this task. I was also happy with working my classmate because I have learnt how to communicate with them because I learned from other tasks and I improved well now, which means I achieved most of my two goals.


overall, Task 3 was very helpful for me because I overcame my problems about  speaking to native speaker and and my communications and I gain some confident about to interview someone. 

For my next task 4 I am going to improve ability to give a confident presentation.
